Jason Armit

Jason has staged theatrical violence, stunts and movement throughout the country. He has served as the resident fight choreographer for the Alliance Theatre Company in Atlanta, GA (nine seasons) where he choreographed the world premier of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple: A New Musical. He also served as resident fight choreographer for the 

Alabama Shakespeare Festival (six seasons) and was the stage combat instructor for the

MFA/Professional Actor Training Program.

 

As the Fight Director for the Alliance Theatre Company, Utah Shakespeare Festival and Alabama Shakespeare Festival,

Jason is one of only 51 Fight Director/Certified Teachers with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) 
and holds a BFA in acting from the University of Southern Mississippi.
